| CA3

Carbonic anhydrase III (CA3) is an enzyme that is encoded by the CA3 gene. CA3 is a cytoplasmic enzyme that exhibits a relatively low carbon dioxide hydratase activity. It is expressed at a very high level in skeletal muscle. CA3 responds to oxidative stress with a distinctive sulfhydryl oxidation patterns reflecting duration and severity that may prove sensitive indices of extent and type of damage in muscle injury.

The recovery of Human CA3 spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human CA3 and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
